Original vintage Hillebrand “Oslo” table lamp/desk lamp, designed by Dr. Heinz Georg Pfaender for Hillebrand-Leuchten, Germany, in the early 1960s.
Characteristic modernist design with a large round metal shade, slender rectangular stem, and a rounded weighted base. The lamp is finished in black lacquered metal with a white interior to the shade. The base contains the original metal push button.
The shade is fitted with two E14 sockets, allowing the light to be spread wide and evenly downward. On the inside there is still an old production/inventory sticker with a number.
In original vintage condition, with signs of use and aging appropriate to the age. Scratches, spots and light lacquer wear are visible on the black lacquer. The metal stem also shows patina/oxidation. The white interior also shows light signs of use.
Not restored or repainted; only the original finish and patina have been preserved.
Electrical operation: working and tested.
