Impressive solid malachite bowl / catchall – dated 1970
Beautiful and imposing decorative piece made from a substantial block of natural malachite, partially worked and polished.
The inner part is hollowed out and fully polished, revealing very beautiful characteristic concentric patterns of malachite, with a succession of green shades particularly decorative. The exterior has deliberately retained much of its rough, natural appearance, creating an interesting contrast with the polished interior.
The piece bears on the base an engraved mark « CPC » as well as an inscription corresponding to 1970.
