Description from the seller

IN RISALSO:
• BMW Z4 3.0i (E85 series) equipped with a 6-cylinder inline engine
• Recently installed new battery
• Equipped with compliant manual or automatic transmission and 1 key available
• Offered as an auction project to be reviewed and subjected to general maintenance

HISTORY/PANORAMA:
The BMW Z4 (E85 series), designed under the styling direction of Chris Bangle and introduced in 2002 as the successor to the Z3, represents one of the modern roadsters most iconic of the Munich-based marque. The variant powered by the 3.0-liter inline 6 engine offers notable sporting performance and ideal weight balance. This unit was previously purchased on the Catawiki platform and has been stationary for several years. There is no maintenance history or service book, and the car is provided with a single key. Neither the registration document nor other official documents are described in detail in the text, except for the photo attachments.

BODY/PAINT:
The bodywork shows normal aging with various defects and items to be reviewed:
• Front bumper with a visible crack, several marks and scratches on the paintwork
• Dull front headlights and front grille grill panel fixed with ties
• Convertible roof mechanism not functioning, with marks and puncture points on the fabric
• Seals around the windscreen damaged and coolant sensor gel on the windscreen with starting/imperfection

INTERIOR:
The cabin retains leather upholstery that shows evident signs of wear, scratches, and creases. Also noted:
• Left door panel with a crack on the leather surface
• Damaged/broken door seals and various marks or scratches on the trim
• Air conditioning system not functioning

MECHANICS:
The car is running but requires thorough general maintenance and tuning:
• The engine shows a slight idle irregularity, does not rev properly and tends to stall (fuel/air intake system to be reviewed)
• Stability control light on the instrument cluster
• The gearbox operates correctly
• New battery installed; winter tires are somewhat aged and approaching wear limit
• In the engine bay the heat shield looks damaged/broken

DOCUMENTS:
Information missing or insufficient in the seller’s text or photos.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
