Stunning vintage champagne cooler made for the Montebello house.
The cooler is in good condition (see photos), with a rich patina and is fitted with an inset rectangular plaque bearing the text: Champagne MONTEBELLO Chateau De Mareuil s/Ay, rendered in red/white enamel.
Montebello Champagne was produced at Chateau de Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the company was founded in 1834 by Alfred de Montebello.
