Elegant and imposing double French desk inkstand from the Napoléon III era, made around 1875-1885 in the Louis XVI and neoclassical taste.
The set rests on a beautiful base of dark green marble richly veined with white (alpine green), at whose ends are arranged as pen rests.
The two inkwells are made of richly gilded metal decorated with vegetal and floral motifs. The domed lids are topped with small decorative ornaments and feature particularly elaborate decoration. The two inner white reservoirs are present.
