Description
Elegant English Art Deco cocktail shaker, attributed to the James Dixon & Sons manufactory, Sheffield, one of the historic British makers of tableware and barware.
The shaker consists of a thick transparent glass body, decorated with a remarkable rooster engraving, paired with a mount and a lid in silvered metal.
The upper part features an elegant twisted border as well as an ingenious serving system with an integrated strainer and a movable pouring lip, characteristic of English shakers of this period.
Inside the lid bear the manufacturing marks as well as clearly visible inscriptions:
