Lot of 39 Solid Silver Ingots "A Century of Automobile History" - Le Médaillier Franklin (925/1000)
Description:
Splendid partial lot consisting of 39 solid silver ingots belonging to the famous collection "A Century of Automobile History", issued from the mid-1970s by Le Médaillier Franklin (the French subsidiary of Franklin Mint).
Each rectangular ingot is adorned on the front with a raised-relief depiction of a pioneering vintage car (including rare models such as De Dion-Bouton, etc.) with a satin finish on a mirror-polished background. On the back the vehicle name and the reference year are inscribed.
* Material: First-Title Solid Silver (Argent 1er Titre) hallmarked on the edge.
* Purity: Sterling Silver 925/1000 guaranteed.
* Number of pieces: 39 ingots.
* Indicative weight: about 66 grams per piece (total weight of the lot estimated at over 2.5 kg).
