Description from the seller
desk lamp "Champignon" or "Paquebot" Neo-Art Deco – Chrome & Wood – Circa 1980
Description of the object
Elegant and iconic bedside lamp, commonly called the "Paquebot lamp" or "Mushroom lamp", typical of 1980s production.
This model bravely revisits the geometric and aerodynamic codes of the Art Deco style while aligning with the Space Age design movement of the late 20th century.
The lamp is distinguished by the superb textured contrast between the mirror-like shine of its chromed metal and the warmth of a central wooden blade (finishes similar to walnut or mahogany) integrated into the shaft.
Model: Inspired by Titan Lighting Co. / F-Line productions
Period: Circa 1980
Materials: Chrome metal (dome and base) and central wooden shaft.
Electrical system: Fully functional.
Equipped to receive 2 bulbs with a fine screw base (type E14, max 40W) under the dome, providing diffused warm light directed downward.
Inline switch on the cord.
Object condition: good vintage overall (tiny micro-scratches on the chrome visible from certain angles, see photos).
Total height: ~46 cm
Diameter of the lampshade (dome): ~33 to 36 cm
Base diameter: ~19 cm
