Deep plate in Chinese porcelain, Famille Verte palette – East India Company – Qing Dynasty, 19th century.
Deep plate of Chinese export porcelain, decorated with polychrome enamels over the glaze, in a late Famille Verte palette. In the center, a garden scene with peonies and other flowers, a tree, a bird and a deer, in tones of green, turquoise, yellow, iron red, pink and black. Rim with traces of gilding.
The back is decorated with bamboo branches in iron red. Presents an apocryphal four-character Qianlong-type mark, in a red seal.
Condition: Generally good. With a small chip visible on the rim, gilding wear and slight signs of use; small manufacturing irregularities typical of the period.
