Portuguese wall console in pau-santo wood, carved - 19th century.

Wall console or shelf in solid pau-santo wood, finely carved. Surface with a cut top and a gadrooned edge, set on a frontal support decorated with a central cartouche, shells, volutes, flowers and vegetal motifs in relief.

Probably Portuguese work from the 19th century, inspired by Baroque and Rococo furniture. Traditional construction using carved and joined elements.

In good condition. Wear commensurate with age. Stable structure.
