“Resurrection of Christ” (Voskresenie Khristovo) — “The Resurrection of Christ”.

The risen Christ appears in the center, standing on the tomb, with his right hand raised in a gesture of blessing.
He carries a banner of the Resurrection, white, with the gold cross: it is the symbol of Christ, conqueror of death.
To the right stands the angel seated beside the empty tomb, announcing to the women that Christ has risen.
In the foreground appear the myrrh-bearing women who came to the tomb at dawn.
In the background, on the hill, the three crosses of Golgotha are visible, recalling the Crucifixion.
The open tomb and the shrouds are references to the gospel account of the Resurrection.
An interesting feature

This representation is not the traditional Byzantine composition of the Anastasis or Descent of Christ into Hell, in which Christ is shown pulling Adam and Eve out of Hades. Here the Resurrection is depicted more as a visible Resurrection before the tomb, a composition heavily influenced by Western religious painting and common in Russian icons of a relatively late period.
