Centrepiece - Silver, Glass

Stemmed cup / centerpiece in painted glass and Portuguese silver - Javali contrast, ca. 1890–1920.

Large stemmed cup, centerpiece or aneleira (stand) of large dimensions, with a molded art glass bowl, wavy rim, displaying orange, red and yellow tones and hand-painted polychrome floral decoration. It rests on a tall Portuguese silver foot, decorated with raised-relief vegetal motifs and chased.

Origin: Portuguese assembly; the glass is likely Bohemian or Central European
