Perfume/Vanity Jar in opaline glass and silver - 19th century.
Vanity jar or powder box in blue opaline glass, circular bulbous shape, standing on a white foot. The body is hand-decorated with lotus flowers, fruits and vegetal scrolls in reliefed polychrome enamels, in pink, white, blue and yellow tones.
Removable lid in silver, richly worked in relief, with Neorococo decoration of shells, volutes, floral motifs and a cartouche with monogram. The upper handle in the shape of a fantastical animal or stylized dragon.
