Semi-circular Neoclassical Stool / Bench - Brass and Green Velvet
Description:
Up for auction is a refined semi-circular stool, perfect as a decorative or functional element in an entryway, at the foot of a bed, or in an elegant living room.
Key Features:
Design: The unique semi-circular shape gives this piece a distinctive and sophisticated look. It rests on three tapered and fluted neoclassical legs, ending in bulbous feet.
Materials: The supporting frame and legs are made of brass (or gilt metal) with a beautiful vintage patina, showing light natural oxidation and signs of age, adding character and authenticity to the piece. The seat is generously padded and upholstered in luxurious forest/emerald green velvet.
Details: The lower edge of the seat features a decorative brass band with a vertical-stripe motif that echoes the leg design. The underside is finished with the same green velvet, attached to the underlying wooden frame with screws.
Conditions: The item is in good vintage condition. The brass shows a superficial patina and light signs of wear consistent with age.
