Morocco - Tangier, during the Spanish Protectorate. Stamps from 1899 to 1957

Morocco and Tangier have had a rather intricate philatelic history that the new and used stamps in this collection help to summarize.
-1899. Reichspost stamps (the stamps of the German Empire) are issued with the overprint for Morocco, to support and protect their trading companies active in the region, offering them a reliable and secure postal service that responded directly to Berlin.
-1900. With the introduction of the famous stamps of the 'Germany' series, the overprint changed to 'Marokko' (with the 'k') and included the updated denomination in the local currency, expressed in centimes and pesetas (the Spanish currency, widely used in trade in Morocco).
-1926: Emission of the Spanish Red Cross series, consisting of 14 values. In this collection there is both the complete series with the overprint 'Tanger' and the one with the overprint 'Zona Protectorado Espanol'.
-1928: The first series of its own definitive stamps specific to the Spanish protectorate of Morocco is issued, with dedicated inscriptions.
-1937-1939. During the period of the Spanish Civil War, stamps of the Spanish Republic with overprint for Tangier (Tánger) were issued. One of the best-known series from this republican period, present in the collection, dates to 1938.
-1955: Year of the last series of definitives specific to the protectorate before its end.
Shortly after the proclamation of independence in 1956, the first ordinary stamps of the independent Kingdom appeared with the portrait of Sultan Mohammed V.
In 1957, the specific commemorative series of independence and those for the coronation of the King were printed.
