Fabio Tagliapietra – Murano Calcedonio Glass Sculpture, 2026
Elegant contemporary sculpture entirely handmade by Master glassmaker Fabio Tagliapietra, in Murano artistic glass.
The work consists of two slender and dynamic elements, characterized by fluid lines and shapes that recall sails propelled by the wind. The transparent surfaces enclose the extraordinary nuances of Calcedonio glass, with color plays ranging from blue and light blue to violet, amber and gold.
The particular nature of Calcedonio glass makes every creation different and unrepeatable: colors and reflections constantly change depending on the light and the angle from which the sculpture is observed.
Made according to the ancient techniques of the Murano glassmaking tradition and reinterpreted by the artist with a contemporary language, this work combines color research, movement and transparency.
The sculpture is presented on an elegant black base that further enhances the lightness and dynamism of the composition.
