Praktisix medium format single-lens reflex camera from the 1950s in good condition, tested and working.
Description from the seller
Up for auction, an iconic, imposing and fascinating mid-format single-lens reflex camera with interchangeable lenses: the Praktisix (first series), produced in East Germany by the legendary Kamera-Werkstätten (KW) in Dresden starting from 1957.
The lot presents in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and storage consistent with the object's age.
Optics: The camera mounts the excellent and rare original standard lens Meyer-Optik Görlitz Primotar E 1:3.5 / 80 mm V, characterized by the famous vintage anti-reflective coating. The lenses appear in good visual condition, free of scratches or traces of mold and internal fungi. The focusing ring and diaphragm levers operate manually.
Mechanical: The internal mechanisms respond to commands: the upper rapid advance lever operates regularly, cocking the mechanical focal-plane shutter that fires at various speeds. The characteristic internal reflex mirror rises and settles correctly during the shutter sequence.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The hefty satin metal body retains an excellent visual impact. The interchangeable upper viewfinder housing, complete with the classic KW geometric logo engraved on the front, opens and closes firmly.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professional, ultra-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport."}
