"Elegant and large rectangular tray from the Art Nouveau period with two full, gracefully curved handles carved in the mass. The back features a superb lakeside, wooded landscape with rolling-hill accents in fine marquetry. The careful and contrasting selection of wood species beautifully highlights the perspective and light of the woodland panorama, characteristic of decorative productions of the Nancy School in the early 20th century. A very beautiful collectible piece, as functional as decorative."
