The Aklama fetishes are ritual objects of the voodoo cult used by the Ewe and Dangme peoples of Ghana, on the border with Togo.
They are typically embodied by small figures, animals, everyday objects, or seats, carved from lightweight wood.
These statuettes are charged with interceding with the various deities invoked to grant believers protection, luck, and prosperity throughout their personal and family life, as well as in their daily activities (hunting, trade).
