I am putting up for auction one of the best tape recorders Revox has ever produced, a semi-professional machine of extremely high quality that is rarely available for sale, a highly sought-after item by collectors.
The mechanics and design derive directly from the professional Studer A807, with a control layout and LED VU meters that are very similar. The recorder is 2-track, with a tape speed of 19 cm/s.
It stood one notch above the PR99 model, representing the “swan song” of Revox’s analog reel-to-reel recorders in the 1980s.
The unit is functioning in both playback and recording and all functions are operative.
Even though the unit is working, a general check would be appreciated since the last service was performed about two years ago, and since then the machine has been used very little as I became passionate about online music.
