WMF silver-plated hors d'oeuvres platter with 4 original glass insert bowls. Art Nouveau, circa 1910, Germany, marked.

Beautiful serving platter from WMF, heavily silver-plated with gilded accents and original glass insert bowls. The whole is in excellent condition. The glass bowls are chip-free.
Parallel lines in the handle and around the platter and at the base of the handle decorate with twigs.
Dimensions: 35 cm x 17 cm x 17 cm.

The WMF running ostrich in a diamond with a two-line inscription WMF/G, which in turn is placed in a partially dotted arch. 1909/1910. Objects with this hallmark were mainly exported to France.
OX = Oxidized silver,
associated with the artificial color change of the silver coating to gray (mark "OX", so-called oxidized silver). The reason for this artificial darkening is that WMF pieces were often delivered with glass inserts (for example table pieces).
I/O = The break "I/O" means the normal thickness of the silver layer applied to the surface of the base metal (usually brass).
There is also a letter "g", which probably indicates gilded.
