Description from the seller
Oven dish holder with dish, Alessi, stainless steel and porcelain, designed by Ettore Sottsass, 1994, Italy.
This oven dish holder is a design from 1994 by Ettore Sottsass for Alessi, a jewel on the table.
Characteristic are the ‘pins’ that keep the dish in place, also known from his oil and vinegar cruet, sugar pot etc. from the 5070 series.
This luxurious dish holder has in the center a dotted/radial pattern in light relief, making the dish slightly free from the smooth surface.
Nevertheless there are some unavoidable scratches.

Dimensions: 37 x 26.5 cm, handles 13 cm high.
The white oven-safe dish has been used a few times, which can only be seen on the bottom.

The colorful illustration is from the Alessi catalog "The Dream Factory" in which Sottsass's dish is placed in the hands of a girl painted by Gauguin. (p. 25)
