AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
The AR1400 has an entirely black front panel, two analog power meters, and a fairly minimalist design that clearly distinguishes it from much Philips/Aristona equipment from the same period.
The amplifier offers surprisingly many possibilities. There are two separate phono inputs, in addition to tuner and AUX. Furthermore it features two speaker groups, extensive tape-monitor functions, high- and low-pass filters, mono, muting and individual controls for bass, treble and balance.
The unit is in neat original condition with light signs of use appropriate to its age. The left power meter is illuminated; the lighting of the right meter does not work. Otherwise the amplifier functions well.
A less common Aristona model and especially interesting for lovers of Dutch vintage Hi-Fi and Philips/Aristona equipment from this period.
