antique French pneumatic flap shutter: Guerry "à simple volet"

Pneumatic shutter from the French maker Claude Guerry, intended to be placed inside the studio cameras. It can also be used by attaching the shutter to the front of the lens.

From this first model introduced in 1879 until the 1940s, the Guerry shutters were present in the catalogues for a long time. Electrical contacts for magnesium flash were available as an option from 1900.
