This Schatz Elexacta clock dates from the 1960s (more precisely, the mid-1960s). The revolutionary battery-powered Elexacta mechanism that powers it was patented and developed by the German manufacturer August Schatz & Söhne in 1958. It is following this innovation that the brand produced a whole line of wall and table clocks with a design that is typically Mid-Century Modern throughout the 1960s.
