Well preserved example of an ancient Roman unguentarium - balsamarium, a glass vessel designed to store precious oils.
The vessel is semi-translucent with soft blue-green tones, measuring 127 x 25mm.
All of the attached images of the vessel were taken in natural light, giving an accurate representation of the glass vessel's true appearance.
Completely intact with traces of the ancient earth within, it makes for an interesting and attractive display piece.
