Beautiful antique carved Victorian Irish sofa on castors refurbished as new with Timorous Beasties luxurious fabric. This unique statement one off piece oozes opulence.
To restore this gorgeous antique cherry /rosewood sofa it has been stripped back to the frame , all re-sprung and original horsehair stuffing reused by professional upholsterer Lloyd Perry .
Meticulously applied Timorous Beasties Storm Blotch fabric to the back and arm rests with sumptuous Cristina Marrone Ombre Pumpkin Velvet to the seat and rear, edged with complimentary ribbon edging to finish this beautifully.
This has been sympathetically restored with great attention to detail by a professional upholsterer with former credentials of upholstering royal household furniture .
The frame is stunning and intricate with rose and flowers carvings on the legs and frame.
This sofa is believed to date between 1837-1901 and as with all old antique pieces there are some very small marks commensurate to age on the frame but this beauty has the wow factor .
Destined to grace a magnificent room for an incredible visual centrepiece.
