Set of 3 Hungarian space age ceiling lights with aluminium spiral and half‑chrome bulbs – ELEKTROFÉM, Hódmezővásárhely, 1970s

Lot of three identical Hungarian space age ceiling lights from the 1970s as one set. The design clearly echoes Philippe Rogier’s spiral lamps for Gallery Oxar, in the form of an Eastern‑European, Hungarian‑made interpretation of that space age aesthetic.

The outside of the shades are painted metal in three different colours – one orange, one green, and one red . The central spiral elements are made of aluminium and the half‑chrome bulbs reflect the light downwards, creating a strong graphic play of light and shadow.

These are original period pieces by ELEKTROFÉM Industrial Cooperative (ELEKTROFÉM ISZ), Hódmezővásárhely, Hungary, each with original factory label: “ELEKTROFÉM ISZ, Hódmezővásárhely, 250 V 100 W MSZ 8866”.

Bulbs: each lamp comes with one decorative half‑chrome (mirror‑top) bulb.
All light bulbs are tested and confirmed to be working before dispatch. Although they are packed with great care, vibrations during transport may occasionally affect the delicate filaments. For this reason, no guarantee can be offered for the bulbs’ functionality after delivery.
