Marc Lagrange - Senza Parole - 2015

Senza Parole is one of the most iconic photobooks and art projects of the renowned Belgian photographer Marc Lagrange ( 1957 - 2015 ) The title literally means "speechless" or "without words", a reference to images that are so powerful and atmospheric that text is superfluous.
Marc Lagrange consciously sought locations for this book with a sculptural and historical character.
Among others in Pietrasanta ( the famous marble center, where Michelangelo also worked ), the historic trade fair in Antwerp and artist lofts in Paris.
The work is known for its refined, chic erotica and sensuality without ever becoming vulgar.
The images are staged as "tableaux vivants"
Marc Lagrange used for a large part of the images analog large-format cameras and vintage lenses from the 1950s and 1960s.
Senza Parole appeared in the autumn of 2015 shortly before Lagrange himself tragically ended his life.
As a result, the work is regarded by art critics and collectors as the ultimate artistic testament of Marc and the crowning achievement of his oeuvre.
