Offered for auction is an absolute 'holy grail' for audiophiles and collectors of retro electronics: the legendary Cowon iAudio D2 Portable Media Player (originally released in 2006). Complete in the original box and in working condition.
The Cowon D2 is known in the audio world for its unmatched output power (2x 37mW) and its characteristic warm sound. This is thanks to the highly acclaimed Wolfson Microelectronics WM8985 DAC audio chip. This allows this compact player to drive even large studio headphones effortlessly.
Condition:
In working order. As an extra, the D2 has always sat in a protective transparent hard case (this is included) so signs of use are minimal. The box has some signs of use. The plastic protective flap of the USB/ports on the side is broken (a known aging feature of this model). However the flap still remains seated properly. Originally the flap was attached to the housing with a very thin rubber strip.
