Description from the seller
This striking three-piece decorative suite includes a central mantel clock and a matching pair of two-arm candelabra. It is beautifully crafted in the 18th-century French Rococo revival style, featuring the fine hand-painted porcelain and hand-chiseled metalwork characteristic of the historic Giulia Mangani workshop in Florence.Central Mantel Clock: The clock features a hand-painted porcelain couple in pastoral 18th-century country dress seated beneath a gilded bronze (ormolu) tree adorned with handmade porcelain pink and white rose blossoms. The cobalt blue porcelain clock head features a Roman numeral dial with floral cartouches. The rear brass panel opens to reveal a modernized, low-maintenance battery-operated quartz movement. The entire piece rests on a scrolling Rococo porcelain base detailed with cobalt panels and a hand-painted hunting horn motif.Pair of Matching Candelabra: Flanking the clock are two two-arm candelabra, each featuring a complementary pastoral figurine—a young hunter holding a rifle and a young lady holding a white dove next to a birdcage. The figures are integrated into gilded bronze leafy branches that extend to hold two tulip-shaped porcelain candle cups decorated in a sharp cobalt blue and white chevron pattern.
