Elegant vintage teapot/kettle with a geometric octagonal-pyramid design, produced in Italy by Fratelli Calderoni. Made of highly glossy 18/10 stainless steel with a pyramidal black resin/bakelite top knob. Splendid piece of Italian design, base diameter about 20 cm.
The "Piramide" series (also called Piramidale or Ottagonale) produced by Fratelli Calderoni was introduced and manufactured predominantly during the 1960s. Historical catalogs and major design galleries place its peak production in that decade, although the marketing and production of some pieces of the service (such as the moka) continued into the early 1970s.
