The grand vizier Ssi Mohamed Haddad:
After the death of Grand Vizier Ahmed Al-Ghanmieh, he was tasked with taking charge of the ministry’s affairs, according to a letter from the caliph of Sultan Moulay Al-Hassan bin Al-Mahdi, dated December 22, 1945.

- On April 8, 1948, this position was officially assigned to him and he temporarily added the responsibility of the Ministry of Education. He remained in this elevated post until the country’s independence in 1956, and Ahmed bin Abdul Karim Al-Haddad thus was the last Prime Minister of the northern region during the protectorate period.

In 1954, the caliph of Sultan Moulay Hassan Ben Mahdi appointed him head of the North delegation, which went to Madrid to protest to General Franco, following the attack on the Moroccan throne that led to the exile of King Mohammed V.
