E. Perret - Cake knife - .950 silver

This specific service utensil dates to the late 19th century or the first half of the 20th century, and is finely crafted in the Art Déco / Art Nouveau style. Paris - Silversmith Perret

Materials: It features a gold-plated upper blade, made of engraved brass (gold-plated).

The handle, however, is in solid 950 French silver with a filled core, decorated with the typical geometric fluting and classic shell motifs of the era.

Visual details: On the flat part of the blade there is a small rectangular punch (factory or silversmith's mark) impressed near the base.
