Description from the seller
A large-format sculptural Art Deco-style desk lamp (80 cm) produced by the firm Onice E.T.H. (E.T.H.D.) during the Art Deco Revival period (circa 1970–1980).
This magnificent piece pays homage to the renowned figurative sculptures of the 1920s, drawing directly inspiration from the iconic artwork "Clarté" (1928) by the French master Max Le Verrier.
The lamp features a stylized, elegant nude female silhouette in an arched pose, holding with her hands a large upper light globe symmetrically.
Details and Condition:
Condition: Excellent / Perfect condition. A well-cared-for collectible piece.
Integrity: Fully original. It shows no restorations, cracks, fissures, or repairs.
Finish: The satin black lacquer on the body is pristine, with no color loss, wear, or significant scuffs, preserving its original shine and patina.
Components: It retains its original opaline white glass diffuser globe, which emits a warm, even light with no imperfections in the glass.
Electrical system: The wiring, inline switch and plug are original from the period. The system has been inspected and works correctly (see photos of the lit piece).
The lamp requires careful packing, included within the shipping costs.
