Front: Armored knight on horseback to the right, swinging a sword; beneath the horse the crowned coat of arms of Holland, all within an inner circle.
Obverse inscription: MON · NOV · ARG · CONFŒ · BELG · PROV · HOLLAND ❀
(Moneta nova argentea confoederatarum Belgiacarum provinciarum Hollandiae).

Reverse: The crowned arms of the United Provinces, flanked on either side by a crowned lion; below them in a cartouche the city arms of Amsterdam; date at the top, all within a dotted inner circle.
Inscription: CONCORDIA · RES · PARVÆ · CRESCUNT · 1673
(Concordia res parvae crescunt).

Struck in Amsterdam during the Franco-D Dutch War, when in the Rampjaar 1672 the coinage was temporarily moved from Dordrecht to Amsterdam.
