Among the founders of Italian industrial design, the Milanese designer has been an interpreter of a new relationship between creativity and industry. Awarded in 1962 the Compasso d'Oro and later other prizes, he has exhibited in several important museums including the London Design Museum (1989), the MoMA in New York (2005), the Philadelphia Museum (2008).

Founded in 1956, CEDIT is a company attentive to the research of materials and design in the industrial ceramic sector, which over the years has involved designers such as Albe Steiner, Enzo Mari, Ettore Sottsass, Bob Norda, Marco Zanuso, Bruno Munari, Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni, Sergio Asti.

The object consists of two pieces of red glazed ceramic in excellent condition with small signs of wear due to age. It has always been part of the seller's family collection since it was purchased in a design furniture showroom in 1968/70 with other objects.
