This rare collectible stems from the highly regarded animal series designed by the designer and ceramic painter Jan Branger for the factory from the mid-1920s. In good original condition, see the accompanying photos.
The front features a splendid, powerful Art Deco composition of two stylized herons on the water, surrounded by dynamic waves and a large semicircular sun/moon in the background.
