Lot of 2 coins of 3 Kreuzer – 1838 C – Prague Mint
Very nice lot consisting of two specimens of the 3 Kreuzer 1838 C, struck under the reign of Ferdinand I of Austria.
The two coins are particularly interesting because they show visible differences in the portrait and in certain engraving details, while belonging to the same date and the same mint.
Obverse:
Laureate portrait of Ferdinand I to the right.
Legend around the portrait.
Mint mark C under the bust, corresponding to Prague.
Reverse:
Imperial double-headed crowned eagle, bearing the value 3 at the center.
