Antique Samovar Set (Persian Russian) Qajar
An truly unique, very complete and high-quality antique brass samovar set from the late Qajar period (circa 1890–1910).
This set is a collector’s dream due to the rare degree of originality and the fascinating historical Persian tea culture.
The samovar itself is finished with all original wooden handles and knobs, which is extremely rare for a piece over 110 years old. The body features sharp, authentic Persian medallion stamps, including the iconic Persian national symbol from the Qajar dynasty: the Sher-o-Khorshid (the Lion and the Sun). The tap key is elegantly openworked.
The stamp was the official national symbol of the Persian Qajar government and was applied only to goods for the Persian market. The entire form, the tap, the handles and the teapot are made in the Persian taste and tea culture.
Unique 'Matching' Russian Accessories:
What makes this set truly special is that both the servicing bowl and the presentation tray (undertray) are stamped with exactly the same oval "T.K." factory seal from the famous Russian metal region (Tula/Kolchugino).
