Two wooden Nyamwezi marionettes from Tanzania, comprising a man and a woman. Circa 1950. The limbs move and the dolls are linked to each other by a rope, which symbolises the bond between man and woman. These dolls were often given as wedding gifts.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The rope connecting the two dolls is not original.

This lot is carefully packaged and shipped insured with track and trace.

Twee houten Nyamwezi marionetten uit Tanzania, bestaande uit een man en een vrouw. Ca. 1950. De ledematen bewegen en de poppen zijn onderling verbonden door een touw, dat de verbintenis tussen man en vrouw symboliseert. Deze poppen werden vaak als huwelijkscadeau geschonken. 

Conditie: Prima vintage conditie. Het touw dat de twee poppen verbindt is niet origineel. 

Dit kavel wordt zorgvuldig verpakt en verzekerd verzonden met track en trace.
