A 1929 Eichbaum coin struck by Staatliche Münze Stuttgart (mint mark F) in Germany during the Weimar Republic, composed of 50% silver (500er) with a total weight of 25 g, containing 12.5 g of pure silver, a diameter of 36.0 mm and a thickness of about 3.0 mm, featuring the inscription Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit.
Description from the seller
The Oak Tree: In the 18th and 19th centuries, the oak evolved into a symbol of German strength, endurance, and steadfastness.
The withered branches: When you closely examine the foliage, on the right and left sides a few bleaker, leafless branch tips stand out. This was deliberate political symbolism by the artist Prof. Maximilian Dasio. They represent the German territories that had to be ceded after World War I under the Treaty of Versailles.
The mint: The small “F” at the very bottom beneath the roots reveals that this coin was minted at the Stuttgart Mint (Staatliche Münze Stuttgart).
The inscription: The text “EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT” surrounds the motif – the line that is today known as the opening line of the German national anthem.
Material: .500 fine silver (silver content: 50% silver, 50% copper)
Fine weight: 12.5 grams of pure silver
Diameter: 36.0 mm
Thickness: approx. 3.0 mm
