Yanda - Zande, Azande - DR Congo (No reserve price)

Yanda Azande fetish from the north of the DRC, of stylized and abstract form, extreme geometrization beyond the ordinary, original and in good condition.
It is of extraordinary modernity! A powerful force in simplified lines, the head and massive torso, bulging eyes, the projected mouth, the lines of the hairstyle...
This type of sculpture is among the emblematic and most sought-after works of the Azande people. They served a protective function against disease, witchcraft, infertility, or to guarantee success.
