The Denon AVR-1804 is a popular 6.1-channel model that, at its introduction around 2003, offered an excellent balance between performance and price. This model was one of the first in its class to be fully equipped with 6 independent amplifier channels and support for Dolby Pro Logic IIx, a major upgrade for its time. The receiver is known for its solid build quality and delivers a powerful, dynamic sound that works well for both movies and music. With a variety of analog and digital connections (including component video and optical/coaxial audio), it was a versatile device for home cinema of its era. The 1804 remains a reliable and respected receiver in the vintage audio community.
