Silver coin of 10 Kopeks minted during the reign of Nicholas II. The obverse features the crowned double-headed imperial eagle, holding a scepter and orb, with Saint George’s shield in the center and the various territorial shields spread across the wings; at the bottom appear the initials В.С., corresponding to the mint official. The reverse shows the value 10 Kopeks under the imperial crown, flanked by floral branches and accompanied by the date 1915. The specimen offers outstanding preservation, with very sharp reliefs and excellent definition in the plumage, the crowns, the small shields and the vegetal motifs, as well as well-preserved fields with attractive silver luster and a light natural patina. The MS65 grade certified by NGC reflects its remarkable freshness and the scarcity of visible contact marks. Struck during World War I, this issue belongs to the final stage of the Russian Empire’s monetary system, barely two years before the 1917 Revolution and the end of the Romanov dynasty.
