Sculpture, houten engel - 41 cm - Wood

18th-century woodcarving, Italian Baroque, originating from a tabernacle. Kneeling angel/attendant with a ciborium in hand. Gilded polychrome with the characteristic patina after centuries. I carved a wooden intermediary piece and gave it a similar patina. This intermediary piece can be placed on the ciborium without screws/nails/glue, without damaging the statue, and thus the piece can be provided with a candle, which creates a very cozy effect in the interior.
