Vase (2) - Earthenware - Art Nouveau vases

A splendid and elegant pair of ceramic vases in the typical Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style. The vases have a deep red/bordeaux background with a rich, glossy glaze finish, beautifully combined with striking, organically shaped olive-green handles and graceful, stylized leaf and flower motifs in relief (including sunflower- or daisy-like flowers). The sinuous lines and natural forms reflect the aesthetic of the early 20th-century Bohemian ceramic industry (in the vein of manufacturers such as Amphora, Turn-Teplitz or Eduard Stellmacher).

One vase is complete with a restoration trace in the right handle; the other vase is missing part of the foot and also the left handle shows restoration traces.
