A beautiful, authentic Chinese export porcelain tea caddy from the late 18th century (Qianlong period, ca. 1740-1790). The tea caddy has a characteristic rectangular form with elegant, curved shoulders.
The object is finely hand-painted in the beloved Famille Rose palette. The front and back are decorated with a central bouquet of flowers within a gold-colored, braided circle, crowned with a wavy purple/red trim and a subtle green leafy border along the shoulder.
