Superb quality antique teapot with a melon shaped fluted body and fluted lid of octagonal design, features a naturalistic flower finial, tall heat proof scroll handle and elegant fluted spout, on a decorative rococo stand. Pours beautifully, in unused condition the inside shows signs of age patina, the exterior showing areas of bleed from the copper base metal showing through the silvering. Early Dixon & Smith mark on the base before the firm eventually became James Dixon & Sons. Size: 23 x 29 x 16 cm, weight 828g
