For sale is an exceptional, hand-carved hall chair (throne chair) in the distinctive brutalist style of the 1960s, made in Spain. The chair captivates with its sculptural, tall backrest depicting an artistic, deep relief of a medieval knight in full armor with spear and shield. The design combines the bulky aesthetics of Brutalism with elements of Spanish historicism (Renaissance/Gothic reception), visibly also in the characteristic pointed-arch cutouts of the leg construction.
